It is that time of year again, student elections! Now is the time to make sure you have a read of the manifestos and decide your vote: so you can begin to see changes that resonate with you.
Voting will open from 9AM on the 20th March until 1PM on the 24th March, where all University of Portsmouth students can vote for the students who they think most represent their values and hopes for UoP 2023-24. This year, the UPSU is using a single ranking system to ensure voters can rank candidates in order of preference, an approach recommended by the Electoral Reform Society.
The election results will be announced at 6PM on Friday 24th March 2023. All the candidates' manifestos are linked down below or are accessible from @portsmouthsu on Instagram.
There are five positions that will be filled:
Academic Representation Officer
Candidates include Faizur Rahman Mohammed Farook, Riya Shariyar, Shakar Mohammad Payman, Marija Solic, OLA, Riya Shah and Jerry Ekele Okoro.
