My name is Ellie, but my username is Litty El, because that’s how makeup makes me feel- on fire.
If you asked me what I believe my purpose in life is, I’d tell you something along the lines of “start a business” or “write”, but if you asked me what I've always wanted to do, my answer would most likely be “makeup”.
Have you ever felt your tummy hurt when you're hungry? A rhetorical question, but one that can almost make you feel what is being asked. Now imagine that in that moment of starvation you eat the most amazing slice of pizza, covered with the finest cheese, stringy, full of flavour. Amazing, right? This is how I could best describe the feeling of making art- an unquenched thirst, a feeling of starvation, being satisfied with a simple activity.
To me makeup is not about a façade, it’s about expression. It’s my therapy.
About the Author: Elena Dimitrova
My name is Elena- a Bulgarian with a passion for fashion and writing. Growing up in a journalistic family I always knew that writing and the media were what I was going to pursue as a career. I began to experiment with content creation at age 14, which later led me to hosting my own podcast about loneliness called “For loners only” and having two blogs. I find peace in books (especially novels) and I aspire to write my own one soon.
